Trooper Ridge
Trooper Ridge is being planned for the approximately 15-acre property located at the northwestern intersection of Germantown Pike and N. Trooper Road.
In April 2023, Westrum Development Company presented its preliminary conceptual plan for Trooper Ridge to the Worcester Township Planning Commission. Westrum has not finalized its stormwater design or its architectural design but wanted to share its preliminary vision with the Planning Commission. Westrum envisions high-end, age-targeted attached housing on the property located at 1035 N. Trooper Rd across from the East Norriton Presbyterian Church. It clarified that age-targeted communities are not age-restricted, and that a feature of an age-targeted community is a first-floor, master bedroom to accommodate the preferences of anticipated buyers.
Westrum’s representatives explained that they plan to keep the existing stone home and its adjoining barn, while locating the 48 attached new homes on the currently undeveloped land in a configuration that will be designed as 12 separate buildings, each consisting of three to five individual homes.
Further public discussion of the plan has not yet been scheduled but is anticipated.
